Journal Description

Journal of Positive Work Behavior is an open-access journal that provides immediate and free access to all published content. Readers can access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles without any registration or subscription barriers. We are committed to supporting the global exchange of knowledge by ensuring that published research is accessible to anyone, anywhere.

Focus and Scope

This journal is dedicated to advancing scholarship on positive, constructive, and humanistic aspects of individual and group behavior in work environments. Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Work engagement and flow experiences.
  • Organizational citizenship behavior.
  • Happiness, well-being, and mental health at work.
  • Positive leadership (authentic, transformational, and servant leadership).
  • Psychological capital (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, optimism).
  • Employee creativity, innovation, and proactive behavior.
  • Meaningful work and calling.
  • Positive work relationships, trust, and prosocial behavior.
  • Strengths-based HR interventions and practices.
Open Access Policy
  • All articles published in Journal of Positive Work Behavior are freely available to read, download, copy, and distribute by readers.
  • Users are permitted to use, distribute, and print the journal's content for lawful purposes, provided they give appropriate credit to the authors and the journal.
  • This journal adheres to the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
Licensing and Copyright
  • Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting Journal of Positive Work Behavior the right of first publication.

Peer Review Process

Journal of Positive Work Behavior employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team for suitability and then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. The identities of both reviewers and authors are kept confidential throughout the review process.

The journal follows ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity in all published research.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Journal of Positive Work Behavior is committed to supporting the dissemination of high-quality research while maintaining accessibility for authors. To cover operational costs, the journal applies the following fee structure:

Submission Fee: There is no charge (IDR 0) for submitting an article.

Publication Fee: If an article is accepted for publication, a publication fee of IDR 750,000 will be charged to the author(s). This fee contributes to the costs of peer review management, editing, formatting, and online hosting.

Payment Details:

  • Payment instructions will be provided upon article acceptance.
  • The publication fee must be paid before the article is published.

Archiving (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS)

Journal of Positive Work Behavior utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archival systems to create permanent archives for preservation and restoration. This ensures that all digital content remains available to readers even if the journal ceases operation or loses access to its primary archives.

Journal History

Founded in 2026 by a group of management academics from STIE Indonesia Jakarta, Journal of Positive Work Behavior was established to provide a dedicated platform for research on positive aspects of work life, particularly in the Indonesian business and economic context. Starting as a biannual publication, the journal has grown into a recognized periodical serving researchers and practitioners at national and regional levels.

Publisher

Journal of Positive Work Behavior is published by Bagian Publikasi dan Penerbitan STIE Indonesia Jakarta (Publication and Publishing Division of STIE Indonesia Jakarta). The journal does not accept external commercial funding or display advertisements. All operational costs are supported by the publisher and transparently managed article processing charges to ensure sustainability and publication quality.
